LZPD NRW

The LZPD NRW is the central purchaser of goods and services for the NRW police for state-wide requirements. The associated contracts are subject to the rules of national and European procurement law. These include, for example, the procurement of IT products, vehicles, uniforms, command and operational equipment, etc.

Requirements reported by the specialist departments are either procured on the basis of existing framework agreements or, in the case of lower order values and under special conditions, by way of a direct award. For all other procurements, formal award procedures must be carried out. These are usually invitations to tender in which a requirement is published in advance before interested companies submit a bid. These highly formalized procedures are transparent and non-discriminatory and comply with the basic principles of public procurement law.
