The transition to the "digital world" is a major step that requires extensive conceptual work and strategic decisions. For North Rhine-Westphalia, the "coordinating body" in the Ministry of the Interior (IM) is responsible for the installation, operation and functionality of digital radio for all authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS) in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The ministry sees itself as a common umbrella for all BOS in North Rhine-Westphalia and represents the various interests of all users.
The coordinating body also performs this function in national committees.
